The long awaited iPad has finally been unveiled by Apple. Its not called the iPad 3 nor iPad 2s nor iPad 4G, it is simply called the "iPad". It is "resolutionary" as Apple calls it, as now the iPad has 9.7 inch retina display with 2048x1536 having 3.1 million pixels and 44 percent greater color resolution and a cutting edge technology ie. Apple engineers elevated the pixels onto a different plane — separating them from the signals. Talking about the chip that powers the new iPad's retina display is the Apple's new A5X chip which offers quad-core graphics which has four times the power of Tegra 3 and A4 chip. It is said the retina display in the new iPad is the best display on any mobile device.
Even though retina display and A5X chip are the best features but to fall in love more with the new iPad, it now has a 5-megapixel isight camera with their state-of-the-art IPS system which also gives a 1080p HD video recording, voice dictation, front facing FaceTime camera and ultrafast 4G LTE built into the iPad which is the latest wireless technology.
All these features might be raising a question in the consumer's mind would be that it will effect the battery to a great extent but well, what do we have here. Apple engineers found a solution to that and the battery life remains the same 10 hours over 3G and 9 hours on 4G. Its amazing.
As for accessories smart cover still works perfectly with the new iPad.
The iPad is now a little bulky and thicker from 8.8mm to 9.4mm almost the thickness of the iPhone 4s and that is because of all the features and the battery with more cells. Talking about the prices. The New iPad's price is the same as of the iPad 2 starting with $499 going unto $829. Its available in both black and white. As expected, iPads will be in shelves on the 16th march and PRE-ORDERS BEGIN TODAY.
Apple talking about its App Store which just hit 25 BILLION downloads just released iPhotos app for the iPad, thus completing the iLife and iWork bundle on iPad.
Now, talking about the Apple TV. Well, we didn't see a new Apple TV but fortunately a few upgrades were put into it like the all new UI, 1080p HD output, connectivity to cloud, photo stream and much more.
And last but not the least, Apple being famous for keeping its customers always excited about new launches of their devices. At the end of the event Apple CEO Tim Cook said "2012, there's a lot to look forward to". Now, we will desperately be waiting for Apple's WWDC which takes place in June and see what Apple has for us then.
